Gemologist

I was recently reading the November/December 2024 issue of “The Science Teacher” a publication of the National Science Teaching Association.  In this issue, I read the “Career of the Month” column, written by Luba Vangelova.  She wrote an article entitled, “Gemologist Nathan Renfro.” 

Gemologists study and assess the properties, quality and rarity of gemstones.  They can work in jewelry stores, appraisal firms, gemstone trading companies, or laboratories.
